A new role has arisen with one of our major Auckland clients as a result of internal promotions and associated project growth..
This is a senior position which reports into the National Practice Manager of Testing and is very much a 'Direct Line Management' requirement in itself with a specialist view of having responsibility for the Automation and Performance Test teams.
The perfect applicant to this role will already be a seasoned Test Manager who on a daily basis performs as a direct Line Manager to multiple direct reports (not Test Lead) and who has not only come from a Test Engineering background but is still fully capable of running automated and performance related testing where required.
This is very much a Software project related role which means that we need to bring someone aboard who has in depth knowledge and capability with applications to include Java and JavaScript.
The skills that will encourage success in your application are:

Testing / Test Management - a minimum of 5yrs formal Test Management which must be recent as part of a 10yr minimum Test Engineering career. A large and recent proportion of this will need to be Automated.

Team Mgt - experienced in running teams of 4 - 8 individuals. Actual People Line Management is essential to include Individual Performance Management and Individual Budget Sign-off Management.

Testing Type (all essential) - Performance, Load, Automated, Regression, Functional, Non-Functional

Enterprise Integration - existing experience in testing very large information sets and within large environments. This will ideally include the testing of ERP, CRM or large Billing systems.

Products / Methodologies - Jira (absolutely essential) / Agile based testing (essential)

Testing Tools (essential) - Selenium / Unified Functional Testing (UFT)

Technologies of most interest - Java (essential) / JavaScript (essential) / Oracle / Linux / SQL (hands on capability of testing on each of these is of importance).

Other (most favourable) - OSS/BSS Billing or Mediation Systems / ISTQB Certification / Telecommunications
As the incumbent has already been promoted internally, we would ideally like to bring the successful applicant aboard early in the New Year although we are prepared to wait for the right person.
